Ekaterina Ushanova
Was born in 1951 in the Ukraine, in the village Ivanovka near Odessa.
1973 – Graduated from the institute means communication of connection, Odessa.
1983 – Graduated from Moscow Art College named after 1905. Professors: Avsian O.A., Koniagin W.A., Kilchevskaja E.W., Vorontsov D.A.
Started to use oil painting in 1978.
Participated in more than 96 exhibitions, eight of them were personal.
Member of the Union of the Artists of Russia.
During 9 years (1983 – 1992) lived in the village in Pskov region. Her theme then was "Daily life of the village in the end of the century", series "Russia shawls" and other.
Since 2002 she took part in exhibitions in Finland (organized by Russian-Finnish society). The exhibitions were held in Helsinki, Teuva, Peraseinajoki, Kaskinen (Finland). She created the series of works "The way to Haapaluoma".
2003 – E. Ushanova was awarded with prize "For spiritual and aesthetic education".
2004 – She gives course "Russian painting" for finish artists in the city Teuva.
2005 -2009– She worked in Paris (Cite des Arts), created the series of works "Paris mystery"
A film was made about her creative work "The portrait of the family of artists" (director – O. Vinter). Her name was entered in the illustrated arts encyclopedia "1300 biographies of artists of Moscow region".
There were articles about her in Moscow newspapers ("Isograph", "Twerskaia 13", etc.), articles in Vladimirs papers ("Molva", etc.), articles in Finnish newspapers ("Tejuka", "Ilkka", "Metro", "Kauhajoen").
Her works are to be found in the museums of Vladidmir, Kirov, Slovakia, gallery "Souz tvorchestvo" (Moscow), gallery "Marko Gregovich" (Petrovac, Montenegro).
