paper, pencil Shaped bridge. 1776-1778. Architector V.I.Bazhenov Shaped bridge is a front gate to the imperial residence from the side of Shyilovskiy and Tsaritsynskiy ponds. Looking from this side, it reminds a wall of medieval castlewith two towers. Fortress sight of the towers is emphasized by styled merlons.
